7/22/07 Our condolences go out to the family and friends
of Bay Area Anchorman Pete Wilson who died Friday of a heart
attack during routine surgery. Pete also had a news talk radio
show on KGO radio with an annual local band contest called "The
Best Music You've Never Heard" in which we won in 2005
(Under Slapback name.) I'll always remember him "pegging us to win"
and saying that we sounded like "a little John Fogerty in a ladies group
...very nice" He will be missed by all.
The women of Vaylence are thrilled to announce the release of
their 3 song CD single entitled "Can You Hear Me?"
The CD was recorded in one of San Francisco Bay Area top studios,
Fantasy Studios by international music producer, Jeffrey Wood.
Jeffrey has produced recordings for artists in six countries and
worked for many labels including Warner Bros, Reprise, Virgin,
and Chrysalis. His artist list consists of Penelope Houston,
The Housemartins, Low Hum Satellite.
Artwork on the CD was produced by Arlene Oweseichik (Big Picture Design)
with Bonnie Tompkins drawing the fairy image. Arlene was the noted
art director for over 25 years with Bill Graham Presents and helped
to create 1,000's of historic rock posters. (Thank you Arlene for your
artistry and enthusiasm for Vaylence's music.)
"Can You Hear Me” is currently being submitted to radio, TV and film for
both airplay and licensing.
CD's are currently available through our web store and soon
to be distributed through Amazon and Itunes.
The ladies are also writing new material at an unbelievable pace
and can't wait to get back in the studio with the newest material
Thank you to all our fans and family for your support and enthusiasm
